Let's be funny!

The Sisterhood of Crafters has a really simple challenge this week. Create a project that is Humorous & Funny. It can be a funny image, a belly chuckling funny sentiment...whatever makes you chuckle.

I used the digital stamp Frankie Stein by our sister Boni. One of our other sisters suggested the sentiment and as soon as I heard it I knew I wanted to use it. I just typed it up on my computer and printed it out. I love being able to use what is considered a Halloween image for something else.
Boni has just released some great images & sentiments that definitely tickle the funny bone. Be sure to follow Boni's blog: Bonibleaux Designs and check out all her digis at Firecracker Designs by Pamela. Now go to The Sisterhood of Crafters and see the other funny creations and then enter your own in the challenge.

Around the World - USA

This week at The Sisterhood of Crafters the theme is Around The World. We are stopping in the good ole' USA for this week's challenge. We would like to see your Red, White and Blue.

I ended up making 2 cards for this challenge. One for the 4th, which I know has already past now but hey, I did make it before the 4th. : ) I added some Stickles to the number 4, the flag, the scallop and the bee's antennas.
The other I used the same paper but made it a birthday card. I thought this would be good for a birthday around the 4th or just for a guy's birthday.
Check out the challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and see what our other sisters created too.

Paper: Fly A Kite (October Afternoon)
Embellishments: AC Button, Ribbons

I love making paper bag cards. They are so easy and when you include coffee, tea or some other little goody on the pull out it's a little gift too.

Bonibleaux Designs Y'All!

Hello Sisters! This week at The Sisterhood of Crafters, we are featuring new images from one of our very own sisters -- Boni Boutelle-Jones! Bonibleaux Design images can be found at FireCracker Designs by Pamela right HERE. There's even fabulous sentiments to go along with each manly image (because we all know that man cards can be a challenge).

The challenge this week is to create a card for a man. Here is what I came up with:
I used the Ken image and my own sentiment that I just typed up and printed out. You can get this Ken image for free right HERE. I really wanted the teeth to shine so I put some Glossy Accents on it but it actually made them yellow a little bit. I may have used to much. I colored the image with Copics.

This challenge comes with a prize! A $5 gift certificate will be given to one lucky challenge participant to get some of these fun images designed by Boni. So go on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters and see what our other sisters did for the challenge, then enter your own card.

Stamp by Step - Guest Designer

I'm going to share a few more things that I made for Stamp-By-Step as their Guest Designer for July. This first one is of my daughter and it was a school picture from this past year. It's pretty simple design for me because I usually don't leave so much blank space but since I really liked the pattern of the paper I didn't want to cover it up too much.

"Kaitlyn"
Paper: Fancy Pants Clair de Lune
Embellishments: Flora Studios flowers, Ric-Rac Ribbon,
Flower Brad Accents

This next one is a friend of mine's daughter and neice. I loved this paper and wanted to use it for LO but did not have any pictures that would work for it. I was scrapping with my friend and she had these pics that went well so I scrapped this page for her.

"Cousins"
Paper: Fancy Pants Clair de Lune
Embellishments: Sheer Organza Ribbon, Twill Tape
Buttons by American Craft, Flowers

Covered Composition Book
Paper: Fancy Pants Clair de Lune
Embellishments: Flora Studios flowers, Ric-Rac Ribbon,
Twill Tape

I've got a few more projects that I will share next week. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the cool products that Cheryl has over at Stamp-By-Step. : )

Celebrate the Month - Flower Challenge

It is my turn to be hostess at The Sisterhood of Crafters, this is my first time to host. This week as our theme is Celebrate the Month. For those of you who do not know, the flower for the month of July is the Delphinium, Larkspur or Water Lily.

The challenge this week is to create any type of project using one of these flowers.
I chose the WaterLilly and used a digital stamp by Delicious Doodles. She also has a beautiful Delphinium. I love the Delphinium she made but I totally butchered it when coloring it. Some of our Sisters though used it and did a beautiful job on it.

Since I am hosting this week, I decided to offer up a prize. It will given by random draw to all who participate in the challenge. For the prize, I have 9 sets of clear stamps.
So check out The Sisterhood of Crafters, the beautiful projects the sisters created then join in on the challenge for your chance to win all these stamps. :D

Stamp by Step - July Guest Designer

I am honored to be the Guest Designer for July at Stamp-by-Step. I have some fabulous products from their store to use for my designs. Throughout the month I will showing you all the items I made. You can go to Stamp-By-Step and click on the Guest Designer and see all my projects at once but I will be showing you a couple each week of this month.

The first 2 items I made were thank you cards that I can use for my kids teachers next year.I used the stamps Lilly & Billy Sweethearts on both cards. I know these are Valentine's stamps but I like to be able to use them for more than just Valentines so I just used some rub on sentiments and but the "thank" above the image and the "you" inside the heart. Both cards used paper from October Afternoon "Fly A Kite" . On this girl one I used a Dazzlers Florette and I love the way this flower sparkles.

Both cards have grosgrain ribbon on them and images were colored with Copic markers. I love that I already have 2 cards ready for the next school year. I'll be showing a couple of more items next week. Be sure to stop by Stamp-By-Step and check out all the cool products she has.
